The NHRA has promoted Scott Smith to director of media relations. He joined the organization in 2002 as communications manager for Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis. Smith was named senior media relations manager in 2008 and later served as lead communications manager at events across the country. He will direct the communications efforts of the NHRA, the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series and other entities within the world’s largest motorsports sanctioning body.
