The privately held orthopedics company has consolidated operations into what was a shell building in the Warsaw Technology Park and plans to hire an additional 111 workers over the next three years.
Nextremity first announced plans for the facility in May 2020. The company invested $4.5 million to convert the shell building for its purposes. The decision to consolidate operations came after Nextremity acquired Warsaw-based contract manufacturer Lakeland Technology Inc.
The company currently employs nearly 100 in Warsaw.
“I love the phrase, ‘Begin with the end in mind,’ and today brings us to a new crossroad, but this is not where the journey is going to end, I am quite confident,” said Rod Mayer, chief executive officer of Nextremity. “We’re going to continue to see accelerated growth as we remain passionately committed to our mission and to our values and remain passionately committed to serve surgeons who serve patients around the world.”
The ribbon-cutting ceremony featured a variety of local and state officials, including Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer and Indiana State Representative Craig Snow.
