The media company will join the lineup for Time-Warner Cable with NNDC-TV, which is expected to launch later this month.
Mick Birge, president and executive producer for Star Valley Productions Inc., the parent of NewsNow Dubois County. He says the move to Time-Warner makes the company the only local media entity to directly integrate online, print, radio and television as media sources.
"We have had, since our inception in February 2013, the capabilities to deliver live breaking news and live programming," said Birge. "The new NNDC-TV channel will allow us to do so in a way that better reaches the ‘home’ audience. We think we have the right formula in place thanks to Time-Warner working with us to make NNDC-TV possible."
Birge said the necessary electronic construction is underway. He adds the move to television will lead to a staff expansion, though a specific number of new jobs was not released.
A channel location for NNDC-TV will be announced soon, along with information on the company’s mobile app that will accompany the channel.
