New Owner For Former Kellogg’s Plant

Vigo County property records show the facility, which closed in 2017, was sold to Illinois-based Hearthside Food Solutions LLC on October 10, though financial details were not disclosed.
Hearthside Foods makes various snacks and cereal products, as well as contract packaging for a variety of food and drink products, according to its website. The company says it employs 7,500 in 25 production facilities throughout the world.
Hearthside Foods has not provided any details on its plans for the Vigo County property. A request for comment from Inside INdiana Business has not been returned.
Kellogg Co. (NYSE: K) announced in August 2016 it was planning to close the Seelyville plant, a move that would affect 150 jobs. Earlier this year, Germany-based Saturn Petcare announced plans to set up operations on the site, however a month later the company decided to move into the former Pfizer building in Vigo County after it could not reach a purchase agreement with Kellogg’s.
