New lead for Evansville sports commission

Subscribe NowThe Evansville Regional Economic Partnership and the Evansville Regional Sports Commission have announced Brandon McClish will serve as executive director of the sports commission. The nonprofit helps to attract high-profile sporting events to the city.
“Brandon’s expertise in the sports industry, sales experience, leadership qualities, and working relationships within the business community made him a standout for the position,” said E-REP CEO Tara Barney. “I am thrilled that Brandon will lead the Evansville Regional Sports Commission as I have been impressed with his vision on how the Commission can boost our economy by bringing additional high-quality sports events to the Evansville Region.”
For the past five years, McClish has been general manager for Learfield Sports at the University of Evansville. In that role, he oversaw all aspects of the multimedia rights between the sports broadcasting network and UE Purple Aces.
McClish has also worked as the director of operations and sales for the Evansville Otters, the city’s minor league baseball club that competes in the Frontier League.
He will begin work in his new role on May 15.
