New Hotel Proposed for Crown Point

It would be built across from a new multi-million-dollar orthopedic facility currently under construction.
Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report Crown Point-based developer DVG Inc. wants to construct a Hampton Inn near the intersection of 109th and Delaware Parkway.
The developer told plan commission members this week that it would like to start construction in April, pending approval from the city and the Lake County Drainage Board.
The four-story, 57,000-square-foot building with have 95 rooms, including eight suites, and an indoor pool.
The publication says some commissioners expressed concern about changes to the curb that could hinder traffic flow.
Last fall, Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute announced plans for a two story, 40,000 square foot orthopedic medical facility. It’s located across the street from the proposed Hampton Inn.
Construction is set to finish in early 2021.
