The Bloomington Health Foundation will continue to work with the hospital, but broaden its focus to include investment and partnerships in the community to help address pressing health needs.
Formerly known as the Bloomington Hospital Foundation, the organization will continue to be led by President and Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Barada. The foundation says all past and future donations will remain designated in support or their original intent.
“The Bloomington Health Foundation is committed to helping the people of Bloomington and surrounding communities lead healthier lives. There is no greater investment made than one made in the health and well-being of a community,” Barada said in a news release. “It impacts everyone: healthy kids do better in school, a healthy workforce provides economic strength, a community that supports the health of its seniors improves their quality of life, increased access to rural health services relieves healthcare disparities – and the list goes on."
The foundation says many of its other leaders, including Chief Development Officer Karin St. John, Chief Financial Officer Heather Robinson, Director of Donor Relations Sarah Bock and Director of Marketing and Events Lauren Dexter, will remain in their positions.
