Officials will cut the ribbon Tuesday on Launch Putnam County, which was established by three entrepreneurs based out of the Greencastle area.
Vincent Aguirre, Andrew Smith and Michael Woodsmall, who run Greencastle-based 25/7 Consulting, say the goal of Launch Putnam County is to encourage the growth of small businesses and entrepreneurs in the region.
"We were inspired by the work of leaders such as Launch Fishers and John Wechsler, and we wanted to bring the same benefits they have brought to Fishers, IN, to the hard working community of Greencastle," said Aguirre. "We grew to love this area as DePauw students; we love it even more now as community members and entrepreneurs, and we want to create a space where new initiatives can take root and grow in this community."
Launch Putnam County already has a number of members. The ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and will feature the announcement of a "special partnership."
