The foundation says the growth has created the need for additional capacity, including increases in staff and office space.
In June, the foundation purchased a new building to serve as its home, and the foundation plans to relocate its offices later this summer.
“Keeping The Community Foundation in downtown Muncie was a priority as the search for expanded space began,” said Trent Dowling, chair of the foundation’s board of directors. “Our new building allows us to continue contributing to the vibrancy of downtown.”
The organization, which currently operates with eight employees, says it also plans to add a ninth position later this year.
The foundation’s offices have been located in the Muncie Power Products building for more than 20 years.
