MKS Global investing $2.8M into new Jeffersonville HQ

The company said it will invest $2.8 million in the project and will lease a building on Centennial Boulevard, creating up to 40 jobs.
The new location will include new production on aerospace maintenance technology and electric charging stations.
MKS said the new jobs will come with an average wage of $45 per hour, which Jeffersonville Mayor Mike Moore said is nearly double the Clark County average.
“This new location affords us an abundance of growth opportunities by dramatically expanding internal prototyping capabilities,” CEO William Moon said in a news release. “This investment will accelerate innovative product partnerships in a variety of high-impact industry sectors such as automotive, aerospace, renewable energy, and beyond.”
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. is providing MKS Global up to $800,000 in performance-based tax credits, which the company will not be eligible to claim until Hoosier workers are hired for the new jobs.

MKS Global is currently located in Louisville, Kentucky. The company did not specify how many current jobs would be relocating to Jeffersonville.
