In a notice to the state, the company said its facility in Jasper will shut down in October, leaving 52 employees out of work.
Arrowhead supplies and distributes parts for the powersports, automotive & heavy-duty truck, outdoor power equipment, agricultural and industrial markets.
The Jasper facility, located at 1919 Hospitality Drive, is the home of Arrowhead subsidiary Stens, which distributes parts specifically for outdoor power equipment. Arrowhead acquired Stens in 2016.
In its Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification provided to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, dated Aug. 14, the company did not specify a reason for the closure.
The majority of the affected workers are warehouse associates and material handlers. They are not represented by a union and do not have bumping rights.
The layoffs are slated to take place over a 14-day period beginning Oct. 14. The company said all employees will be let go “unless they become employed elsewhere at Arrowhead.”
