The Milltown Economic Development Committee is crowdfunding to reach its fundraising goal. If it does so by Dec. 29, 2023, the state will match funds as a part of the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority’s CreatINg Places program.
Erin Henry, co-chair of the Milltown Economic Development Committee, said in a news release that town leaders plan to change the colored lights as a part of seasonal displays. Organizers say they hope the effort draws interest to the downtown area throughout the year.
“Milltown is on the move and quickly becoming known for displaying local art in interesting ways,” Henry said. “The addition of colored LED lighting to our bridge will provide citizens and visitors with visual art, as well as safety when walking at night through our beautiful town.
Milltown is covered by both Harrison and Crawford counties. It is located about 140 miles due south of Indianapolis.
