Illinois-based microchip manufacturer NHanced Semiconductors Inc. says it will open an office at WestGate Technology Park in Odon. Our partners at WTHI-TV report the company specializes in custom integrated circuits.

The company sources circuits from large suppliers, like Samsung or Intel, then NHanced customizes the chips for smaller buyers.

The TV station says opening an office at WestGate, which is adjacent to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, is phase one of its growth plans. It is also considering building a factory outside the naval base in the coming years.
