Financial details of the deal were not disclosed and CWI says it will use Sanlo’s facility in LaPorte County in its distribution network.
Sanlo manufactures and distributes galvanized and stainless wire rope, engineered cable assemblies and custom products out of its Michigan City facility. CWI says Luke Vandercar, the current sales leader for Sanlo, will serve as the facility’s general manager.
"Sanlo brings to CWI and Strand Core a depth of product development and technical sales which further deepens all operations," said Paul From, chief executive officer of CWI. "Sanlo is geographically located in the right area and has a “value defined” workforce; capable and experienced. We have been impressed with Sanlo’s team and I know they are all eager to see growth and development of new global markets, precisely what CWI can bring to the table."
The acquisition is the third in as many years for CWI. The company has nine manufacturing facilities throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. CWI manufactures stainless steel, nickel alloy and copper and brass wire and welding products and distributes them to industries throughout the world.
