Subscribe NowEmily Mack will step down as director of the city of Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development at the end of August to serve as the president and chief executive officer of River City Co. the economic development engine for downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. She has served as DMD director for the past four years.
Mack began her career with the city of Indianapolis, first as a preservation planner with the Indianapolis Historic Preservation Commission, and then as a mayor’s neighborhood liaison and deputy director for the Department of Code Enforcement.
DMD’s current Chief Financial Officer, Rusty Carr, will serve as the interim director of the department.He previously worked as a revenue and budget analyst in the Controller’s Office.
