The regional healthcare organization says it is merging with Lafayette-based recovery residence Home with Hope, though financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed.
Meridian Health says the merger is the continuation of a previous relationship between the two organizations. Home with Home operates a 25-bed Men’s Recovery Residence, a 24-bed Women’s Recovery Center for women without children, as well as four apartments for women with children.
“This collaboration combines the strength of two exceptional providers of substance use programs and creates hope for individuals and expectant mothers who are seeking recovery,” Meridian Health Services Chief Executive Officer Hank Milius said in a news release.
The existing Home with Hope employees will continue with the combined organization. Meridian Health says the merger will provide more opportunity for those seeking recovery to stabilize and transition to a recovery residence.
“Home with Hope is encouraged and embraces our future with the merging of services with Meridian Health. The level of care that our residents will receive will increase exponentially through this transition,” said Allison Miner, executive director of Home with Hope. “The future of our recovery community is bright and successful.”
Meridian Health says the merger is expected to be finalized in August.
