Merchants Bancorp to Celebrate New HQ

The banking office is in Midtown Carmel at the intersection of 4th Street and Monon Avenue. It was May 2015 when the company first announced plans to eventually build a $25 million corporate headquarters in the city’s Midtown district.
The company has been in acquisition mode the past two years. Last fall, an Illinois-subsidiary of Merchants Bancorp completed the acquisition of another Illinois bank.
Last November, the company rebranded its mortgage and investment offices under one brand, Merchants Capital, following the 2017 acquisition of another firm.
In December of last year, Merchants acquired a Florida lender.
