The forums are designed to promote Indiana’s life sciences strengths and make policy recommendations to state legislators.
The first event, held at Roche Diagnostics in Indianapolis, featured Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann and State Senator Brandt Hershman (R-17). Other contributors to the discussion included Indiana Commission For Higher Education Teresa Lubbers, Indiana Department of Workforce Development Commissioner Steve Braun, OrthoWorx Executive Director Brad Bishop, Indiana Biosciences Research Institute Director David Broecker, Indiana Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer Kevin Brinegar, Genesis Plastics Welding CEO Tom Ryder and Jennifer Zinn and Greta Clark from Roche.
The forums will feature leaders from the life science, health and medical device industries, illustrating their common interests. The series is being organized by the Indiana Medical Device Manufacturers Council and the Indiana Health Industry Forum. The next event is scheduled for Thursday, September 24 at the Purdue Technology Center in New Albany.
