He previously served as an associate. While Brown predominantly practices in family law, he also focuses his legal career in criminal, personal injury and estate planning matters. He is a Muncie native who received a Bachelor of Science in economics from Ball State University and a J.D. from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law. During his studies, he wrote an Honors Thesis discussing the Economic Impacts of Modern Agricultural Production Systems. While attending Ohio Northern University, Brown was invited to participate in Law Review where he served as a staff editor and associate editor, and published a Case Note reviewing an Ohio Supreme Court Decision exploring adequate Due Process in Ohio.
Also, Ryan Groves has joined the team as a partner. He is admitted to practice in all Indiana State Courts, the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana and to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Groves is the firm’s first patent attorney. In addition to intellectual property, he practices include estate and trust law, family law and he recently completed his training to become a family law mediator. An active member in the legal profession and local community, Groves has served as the secretary and treasurer on the Hillcroft Services Inc. board of directors and is an adjunct faculty member at Ball State University’s Miller College of Business. He is also active in the Muncie Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association, where he serves as a four-year Ethics Committee member. Groves received a Bachelor of Science in microbiology from Indiana University and a J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
They will be serving alongside Partners Mark McKinney and Tom Malapit.
