McGuire Sponsel has added Trent Wilburn as a tax consultant for the specialty tax and consulting firm. He will be responsible for conducting cost segregation studies for clients by identifying and reclassifying a property’s assets and associated costs to accelerate depreciation deductions and defer tax payments.

Wilburn previously worked for industrial supplier Fastenal, where he was lead sourcing specialist responsible for an $8 million annual original equipment manufacturer implementation project. He also provided sales and communications support for all implementation, sales and purchasing teams.
