Hildebrand has been serving as interim executive director with MCEDC since last fall.
Hildebrand has worked as an economic project manager for MCEDC since 2019. One of his top priorities is to improve quality of life in the area as a way to attract talent.
“So much of the work of attracting new industry and helping existing industry grow and expand hinges on the availability of a skilled and talented workforce,” said Hildebrand. “Improving the quality of life and the educational opportunities available to the area are both key to attracting new and retaining the current workforce and industry.”
Prior to economic development, Hildebrand worked for the local newspaper for more than two decades.
Walls replaced former MCEDC president and CEO Jerry Chavez, who left the organization in September 2020.
