Klipsch Educators College and The Mind Trust in Indianapolis are partnering to reduce the cost of teacher and school leader licensure programs. The partners say the effort will help cover two-thirds of the cost of two leadership licensure programs and five teacher licensure programs.
The partnership is part of efforts to increase the number of licensed teachers and school leaders throughout the state.
“The current Indiana teacher shortage comes at a time when students need high-quality educators more than ever,” said Dr. LaTonya Turner, dean of the Fred S. Klipsch Educators College at Marian University. “Marian University’s Klipsch Educators College partnership with The Mind Trust aims to slow that trend by helping to remove financial barriers to licensure.”
Tuition assistance will be offered for degree programs, including Master of Arts in Teaching and Master of Arts, SPED Mild Interventions. The licensure-only programs include Transition to Teaching – Elementary, Transition to Teaching – Secondary, and Transition to Teaching – SPED Mild Interventions, as well as leadership licensure programs including the Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Building Level Administration Program.
