Marian enrolls its largest class of first-year students

University officials said Wednesday the institution has admitted its largest-ever first-year class, contributing to a 25% increase in students seeking bachelor’s and associate’s degrees at Marian’s Indianapolis.
The university currently serves more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students across its in-person campuses and online programs.
Marian students this fall represent 18 states and 13 countries, according to the university. Officials say the university saw a 41% increase in Latino student enrollment this year and the university’s nursing program, Marian’s largest undergraduate program, grew enrollment by more than 50%. Students’ overall GPAs at Marian average 3.7 or higher this fall.
”By achieving the largest-ever first-year class and significant growth in students pursuing bachelor’s and associate degrees, Marian University’s enrollment underscores our unwavering commitment to enhancing access to a high-quality education,” Chancellor Kenith Britt said in a news release. “The impressive incoming GPA further reflects the university’s dedication to academic excellence and preparing students for success.”
The report comes less than a month after Marian was included in U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Colleges ranking.
