Omco Midwest Roll Forming Plus, which makes components for a variety of products such as truck bodies, trailers and solar panel frames, announced Wednesday it is adding 50 jobs at its plant in Pierceton by the end of 2026.
Financial details of the company’s plans were not disclosed.
Omco was founded in 1955 and bills itself as the largest custom roll former in the United States. The company makes custom roll formed items used in products in the agriculture, appliance, building products, construction, transportation and solar industries, among others.
Omco currently employs 150 people in Pierceton and 350 nationally.
“Our Indiana operations are key to our continued success, and we are pleased to be able to grow in Pierceton,” Omco Regional Controller Carl Wray said in written remarks. “We’re very appreciative of the support we’ve receive from state and local officials and our Hoosier-based team members.”
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered Omco up to $500,000 in conditional tax credits and training grants, which the company will not be eligible to claim until Hoosier workers are hired for the new jobs.
The company said it also received incentives from Kosciukso County for previous plans to purchase and implement equipment in the coming year, though details on that effort were not provided.
“This is at least the second or third opportunity we’ve had to support the company’s job creation and investment plans,” said Pierceton Town Council President Matt Brubaker. “They’re a big part of Pierceton and we’re looking forward to seeing their continued success.”
In addition to the Pierceton facility and its corporate headquarters in Ohio, Omco has plants in Phoenix and Talladega, Alabama.
