A special transportation announcement is scheduled Tuesday morning in Lebanon. Indianapolis-based Duke Realty Corp. (NYSE: DRE) says the news conference will address the expansion of transportation and logistics options in central Indiana.

Representatives from CSX Transportation, Duke Realty, the City of Lebanon, and the Boone County Economic Development Corp. will be in attendance.

Tuesday’s announcement is another in a recent line of projects in the state dealing with transportation and logistics. Earlier this summer, Transpoint Intermodal LLC announced plans to construct hubs in Fort Wayne and Valparaiso. The Indiana hubs will be part of Transpoint’s global container network moving cargo from the Far East via Chicago and beyond. The two Indiana facilities are the first in the U.S. for the Mexican company and could eventually employ more than 100 in Allen and Porter counties.
