(NYSE: CRM) executives have debuted the final unfinished portion of its Indianapolis regional headquarters. The Ohana Floor, a hospitality and event area for employee, customer and partner functions, is located on the 47th floor of Salesforce Tower in the center of downtown Indianapolis. Salesforce says nonprofit and community organizations can host events in the space free of charge on weeknights and weekends.
In an interview at Monday’s grand opening, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Chief Executive Officer Bob Stutz said Indianapolis has shown to be "an amazing place" for one of the company’s biggest hubs. "It’s the best-kept secret in America," Stutz told Inside INdiana Business Reporter Mary-Rachel Redman. "We’ve made a big commitment to the state and to the city and we are doing everything to help the tech community grow here in Indianapolis."
Participants in the ceremony included Governor Eric Holcomb and Mayor Joe Hogsett, as well as the inaugural Salesforce Pathfinder Program class — a training initiative it hails as a "gamechanger" for skilling-up the workforce and loading the company’s talent pipeline.
The new space has a panoramic view of downtown from one of the city’s highest points. The company marked the opening of Salesforce Tower, formerly Chase Tower, last year. Indianapolis is home to Salesforce’s second-largest employee base next to its primary campus in San Francisco.
