LSC Communications Opens On-Site Healthcare Clinic

Subscribe NowIllinois-based LSC Communications (NYSE: LKSD) has opened the company’s first on-site medical facility for employees and their families at its Crawfordsville plant. LSC says the center is part of a company-wide initiative to enhance the well being of employees by providing a holistic approach to wellness.
“As one of LSC’s largest facilities in the US, we and our employees are thrilled that Crawfordsville was selected to launch the company’s first healthcare center,” said Mike Berendes, vice president of manufacturing for LSC Crawfordsville.
The company partnered with Marathon Health to operate the in-house medical facility, which will offer basic healthcare, coaching for weight and stress management, and smoking cessation. Vermont-based Marathon Health is a national company that establishes and operates onsite healthcare facilities for businesses across the country.
LSC has approximately 1,000 employees at the Crawfordsville facility.
“We want to help our employees build and maintain healthier lives as the rising costs of healthcare have become an increasing concern,” said Sue Bettman, LSC’s chief administrative officer.
The plant in Crawfordsville prints a variety of trade and education books as well as bibles.
