(Nasdaq: BASI) is reporting a fiscal first quarter net loss of $366,000, compared to a loss of $1.4 million during the same period the previous year. Chief Executive Officer Robert Leasure says the company’s continued unification under the Inotiv brand name helped drive the improved results.
BASi rebranded its contract research services business under the Inotiv name after making several acquisitions, including Missouri-based Seventh Wave Laboratories LLC in 2018.
“This quarter demonstrates the operating leverage inherent in our business as we grow revenue and the value of continuing to invest in our people, capacity, infrastructure, systems and services,” said Leasure. “Our organization’s unification under the Inotiv brand name, along with our client-service oriented culture, continued to drive performance.”
