The agency says the New Hope Project will expand programming and make the building more accessible.
The organization says highlights of the multi-million dollar effort include a more accessible entrance for those with physical limitations, a dedicated fitness and yoga studio and significant space for program-specific cooking classes and community gatherings.
Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-October, with hopes for the renovated building to open in summer 2018. During the renovation, Little Red Door will offer services in a nearby temporary office space on Meridian Street.
