Bedford-based Radius Indiana says the nearly 61-acre site in Greene County is the latest southern Indiana locale to take part in the certification program, meant to spur economic development.
Radius Indiana, the economic development organization in southern Indiana, says the certification will ultimately help support cost savings and attract new businesses.
Verisite is a site planning service formed by Indianapolis-based consulting firms Ginovus, Plaka + Associates, and the Veridus Group. The certification gives companies and site selectors the assurance the site is ready for expedited development and that all needed documentation and data has been compiled and verified.
“Linton needs every advantage it can get in order to stand out to site selectors for potential investors,” said Linton Mayor John Wilkes. “We pursued the Verisite Silver Certification to accomplish just that. Now, a new business looking for locations to build has one more reason to take us seriously.”
The site is located near State Road 54 on County Road 1000 West. Radius says the site is suited for small-to-medium production, manufacturing or logistics.
In addition, the organization says the site is eligible for several local and regional incentive programs and has connections to workforce development initiatives in the area.
