The staffing company says the division, to be based in St. Louis, will work with business clients who need to recruit STEM-related professionals for temporary and permanent positions.
The division is being led by Damien Flaherty, whose background includes more than 30 years of experience in the environmental staffing industry.
LGC says EnviroStaff will support clients in the fields of oil recycling, environmental laboratories, engineering consulting firms, environmental remediation contractors and industrial manufacturing. The company is currently hiring entry to senior level positions, including engineers, biologists, chemists and safety officers.
“Recently clients asked us to go even further beyond our hospitality roots to assist them in filling positions in their environmental departments,” said LGC Chief Executive Officer George Lessmeister. “This is the niche where I got my start in staffing. Our professional recruiters have been able to locate qualified candidates for open positions, which in part drove our decision to launch the new division.”
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, STEM jobs are predicted to grow 10.5% by 2030.
The national recruitment company says it has also recently expanded its services into the healthcare, retail and warehousing industries, in addition to its mainstay markets of hospitality and the restaurant industry.
