Leadership changes at fabrics wholesaler

Subscribe NowCarmel-based TVF Inc. has announced President Tad Calahan will assume full leadership of the global textile supplier, succeeding current CEO Chris Fredericks. Fredericks will become CEO of Empowered Ventures, a holding company that was launched by TVF’s employee-owners.
Calahan joined TVF in 2007 and has served in a variety of roles, including chief financial officer. He was promoted to president and COO in 2021.
A spokesperson for TVF told Inside INdiana Business Calahan will retain the title of president after the transition.
Fredericks joined TVF in 2005 and served as CEO for the last two, after having served as president for 11 years.
Under Fredericks’ leadership, TVF transitioned to an ESOP in 2010.
“Tad and I have worked closely together for the better part of fifteen years,” said Fredericks. “Tad has played an integral role in the progress TVF has made during that time, and he has impressed me both as a person and as a leader. Tad fully embodies TVF’s five core values, leads by example, and most of all, cares deeply about TVF and its people.”
The changes are effective April 1.
