Langham Logistics Clears Hurdle for Plainfield Facility

The third-party logistics, warehousing and distribution provider says the facility has been licensed as an Indiana Board of Pharmacy 3PL provider, which allows it to provide services to pharmaceutical manufacturers throughout the state.
The company says it participated in a facility inspection, personnel verification, record keeping evaluation, insurance review and audit of supply streams for reverse logistics and disposal of returned, damaged, and expired drugs in order to obtain the license. According to the Indiana Board of Pharmacy, the standards needed for the license are designed to protect patients from contaminated, diverted or counterfeit medications and medical devices.
“We have a high standard of care for all of our clients’ inventory,” Cathy Langham, chief executive officer of Langham Logistics, said in a news release. “We’re glad to be recognized for it by the Board as we continue to grow our life sciences services in the Midwest and Southwest.”
Langham Logistics says as part of the licensure, the Plainfield facility has been certified by the National Coalition for Drug Quality and Security. The certification means the facility is in compliance with all FDA drug storage, packaging and shipping requirements from the Drug Supply Chain Security Act.
