Lafayette youth not-for-profit receives $40K grant

The money will go toward buying 14 touchscreen TVs, which will be installed in several BizTown & Finance Park storefronts at the learning center. This technology will better assist people with a visual or hearing impairment, the not-for-profit said in a news release. They will give announcements, show simulation instructions, find resources and take assessments.
The investment will improve the programming, and subsequently, the experience of students at the learning center, Junior Achievement said.
While situated in and supporting Tippecanoe County, Junior Achievement also serves students in Benton, Carroll, Cass, Jasper, Newton, Pulaski and White counties to provide them with workforce development opportunities.
