Chairwoman of the Board of Directors Jane Wear says "the Board of Directors compiled a list of skillsets we believed would be needed to take the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce to the next level in making an impact in our community. Candidates were reviewed in a two month time span to ensure the chosen President & CEO was a great fit for the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce and this community. We are confident Mr. Parker will serve Kosciusko County successfully and are excited for the future success of the organization."
Parker will succeed Mark Dobson, who took the helm at the Economic Development Corp. of Elkhart County in September. Dobson replaced long-time northern and northeast Indiana economic development executive Dorinda Heiden-Guss.
Parker is a Kosciusko County native and says "we will bring people together to help remove barriers to business to stimulate growth." He is slated to begin January 5.
