Katz, Sapper & Miller has named Sarah Richmond director in its Fort Wayne office. She previously spent nine years with one of the largest Indiana-based certified public accounting and business consulting firms, where she most recently worked as a senior audit manager. In addition to bringing an impressive array of consultative client service skills, Richmond will help to lead strategic planning, staff development, recruiting, and business development efforts in Fort Wayne.

As a member of the firm’s Audit & Assurance Services Group, Richmond will help clients navigate the ever-changing environment of financial reporting and accounting standards, working to ensure they are up to date on best practices and operational controls in order to make profitable business decisions. She will oversee audits and other engagements for clients in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, services, construction, and real estate.

In the Fort Wayne community, Richmond serves as a board and finance committee member for two prominent not-for-profits, Erin’s House for Grieving Children and Science Central.

A certified public accountant, Richmond graduated summa cum laude from Manchester University with a Bachelor of Science degree in financial accounting.
