In this new role, he will be responsible for his client caseload and for ensuring the practice functions smoothly as a business. Johnson’s practice focuses on civil and business litigation, as well as labor, employment and construction litigation. He was nominated and selected as legal counsel for the Northwest Indiana Business Roundtable, an association made up of many of the region’s leading companies.
In 2010, Johnson was nominated by his peers and was selected by Indiana Lawyer as one of Indiana’s fifteen Up and Coming Lawyers in the state. Indiana Lawyer’s Leadership in Law awards, including its Up and Lawyer’s award, are awarded to attorneys who have shown a commitment to their profession and the clients they serve. Additionally, he was an adjunct professor of personnel law at Purdue University, Calumet Campus.
Johnson has had success representing a variety of clients in numerous labor arbitrations as well as defending against charges of discrimination before the EEOC, where his clients have yet to obtain an unfavorable finding.
