The recreational vehicle manufacturer says the facility will allow for 100% of all units for all of its brands to be inspected prior to being shipped to a dealer.
The 70,000-square-foot facility on Southridge Boulevard is the company’s fifth throughout the country. Jayco says the PDI process allows the company to identify and fix any potential issues before the units are shipped to dealers.
The company says the process includes its manufacturing locations in Middlebury and Shipshewana in Indiana, as well as Twin Falls, Idaho.
“Achieving 100% of our units being PDIed has been a true team effort,” Jacyo Inc. CEO Ken Walters said in written remarks. “We know the critical importance of optimizing quality and reducing [Repair Event Cycle Times]. These are areas we have committed to focusing our time and investments to further support our dealer partners, reducing their costs and positively impacting the overall customer experience.”
Jayco’s financial investment in the facility was not disclosed. The company did not respond to a request for more information from Inside INdiana Business on Monday.
