RENSSELAER, Ind. - The Jasper County Economic Development Organization has announced Executive Director Stephen Eastridge will step down from his post in March and transition into the private sector. JCEDO has launched a search for his replacement.
Eastridge joined the organization in November of 2017.
The organization says during his time at the helm, the county has seen approximately $800 million in new investment and the creation of 374 jobs.
JCEDO says some of the notable projects include New Jersey-based Inteplast investing $20 million and hiring 70 at the AmTopp plant in Remington. He was also involved Genova Plastics purchasing the former Rensselaer Plastics property and investing $5 million and hiring 89 in Rensselaer.
“I’d like to thank Stephen for his many significant contributions to JCEDO over the last 5 years. During his tenure, we faced many challenges and Stephen met them head-on with the utmost class and professionalism,” said Remington Town Manager and former JCEDO Board Chair Jonathon Cripe. “Stephen leaves the organization in a much better place than when we hired him, and for that, I will forever be thankful to him.”
JCEDO says it plans to have a new executive director in place this spring.
