Jasper Among ‘Strongest Town’ Finalists

Subscribe NowThe city of Jasper is advancing to the finals of Minnesota-based nonprofit Strong Towns’ 2022 Strongest Town contest. The nationwide contest is highlighting towns and cities and the steps they are taking to become financially resilient for the long haul.
Earlier this week, four municipalities competed in the contest’s semifinals: Durango, Colorado; Jasper, Indiana; Norwood, Ohio; and Yellow Springs, Ohio.
Norwood edged out Durango with 60.2% of the vote, and Jasper beat out Yellow Springs with 53%.
Strong Towns says voting for the overall winner closes on Thursday. The champion will be announced on Strong Towns website next Friday.
