Having worked for both the city and state, he has more than 17 years of experience in the public sector. Larrison most recently served on Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett’s cabinet as director of the Department of Business and Neighborhood Services, which is charged with encouraging and enhancing construction, business, and neighborhood activities. In that role, he provided direction for all of the permitting, licensing, review and inspection functions. In addition, Larrison led the transformation of the department (formerly known as the Indianapolis Department of Code Enforcement), consolidating multiple city functions.
His work history also includes serving as state architect for Indiana, where he was responsible for the building design and construction contracts for state agencies and oversight for state-owned property.
A registered architect in Indiana, Larrison is a graduate of Ball State University’s College of Architecture and Planning. He is the recipient of the AIA Indiana Edward D. Pierre Award for Service to the Architectural Profession, the AIA Indiana Young Architect Award, the Indianapolis Mayor’s Performance Award and Recognition from the Director of Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
