Japanese Consul-General to Visit Columbus

Naoki Ito will join Columbus Mayor Jim Lienhoop for a press event to discuss U.S.-Japan relations "in a localized, Midwestern context."
Ito began his role as Consul-General in February, a position which represents 10 Midwestern states, including Indiana. Columbus alone is home to nearly 30 Japanese companies, including NTN and Toyota Industries, which employ a total of more than 6,000 Hoosier workers.
Columbus also has a formal Sister City relationship with Miyoshi, Japan.
Ito visited Indianapolis in June and, in an exclusive Studio (i) interview, said Indiana and Japan have a strong relationship because of the cooperation between economic leaders and Indiana’s strong incentive offerings. You can view the interview by clicking the link below:
