Japan Trip Continues With Educational Stop

The state says more than 4,400 students at 45 schools throughout Indiana take part in Japanese language programs.
Pence, a former art teacher, spoke about art as an international language and presented each student with an art kit. The Tokyo International School has more than 370 students from 45 countries in its pre-school, elementary and middle school classes.
Governor Pence is leading the economic development mission in Japan. He attended the Midwest U.S.-Japan Association Conference. Today’s meetings include Japanese companies with Indiana operations, such as Honda Motor Co. and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
