Last week’s trip to Japan included signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Aichi Prefecture, which is home to 70 Indiana-connected companies, and meetings with executives from Toyota Industries Corp., Aisin Seiki and NTN Corp.
Holcomb said "our visit to Nagoya was a perfect capstone to our economic development trip. We took this opportunity to say thank you to the many Aichi Prefecture companies that do business in Indiana. We look forward to our continued partnership as we begin to coauthor the new chapter of the Indiana-Japan relationship."
Early last week, the docket also included a visit to Indiana’s sister state Tochigi Prefecture, attendance at the Midwest U.S.-Japan Association Conference, signing of a memorandum of understanding with the government of Japan and meetings with two large Japanese business lobbies.
