The college says although its buildings remain closed, all of its summer courses this year will be hosted online when they begin June 8.
Additionally, Ivy Tech says eligible students can earn a tuition-free job certification from home. The college says some of its job training programs, made possible by the state’s Workforce Ready Grant, can be fully completed online.
Certification programs include cyber security, software development, and IT support, among others.
“With uncertainty upon us all, we want Hoosiers to know that Ivy Tech Community College is still offering the opportunity to begin taking classes this summer toward training for a new job or earning transfer credits to take to a four-year university,” said Trudy Weddle, vice chancellor of enrollment services at Ivy Tech’s Bloomington campus. “There is no need to put plans on hold, students can stay on track and take an online summer class.”
