The school has entered a partnership with the resort to offer paid internships, starting with the fall semester.
The internship is for students enrolled in the Hospitality Administration/Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry program at the Bloomington campus.
“We feel as though French Lick Resort can provide students with a high-end, fast-paced and in-depth internship experience less than an hour away from Bloomington,” said Danton Rogers, senior recruiter in human resources at French Lick Resort.
Students accepted into the program will have employee housing. Scholarship funding is available to cover costs of fuel, housing, and food, in addition to paid work experience that counts toward earning their associate degree.
“Our students will gain real-world skills in a location that is one of the best out there, while earning credit toward graduation. We’re grateful to our partners at French Lick Resort,” said Michael Waterford, talent connection manager for Ivy+ Career Link.
The resort includes two Four Diamond historic hotels, two golf courses, two spas, and more than a dozen food and beverage venues. It also has a casino.
