Ivy Tech Names Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs

Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne and Warsaw has promoted Heidi Fowler to vice chancellor of academic affairs. She most recently served as dean of the Schools of Business, Logistics, & Supply Chain and Public Affairs & Social Services, where she collaborated with industry partners to foster relationships within each of her schools to increase employment opportunities. Fowler also served as the campus Title IX Coordinator, the Fort Wayne representative for Circle of Ivy, and held leadership roles in committees for A Reason to Taste (the College’s largest annual fundraiser) and Commencement.
She will be the chief academic officer for the campus and will report directly to the Campus Chancellor. Fowler will advise the Chancellor in the formation of policies affecting all academic programs, and will provide leadership and supervision for all campus academic schools.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University. Before coming to higher education, Fowler was a practicing attorney.
