IU South Bend Names Vice Chancellor

Subscribe NowSteven Sturman has been named vice chancellor for university advancement at Indiana University South Bend. He previously served as senior major gifts officer at Valparaiso University. Sturman also served as vice president for advancement at Antioch College when it was re-opening in Ohio. There, he established a new development office and was a member of the College’s leadership team. Prior to that Sturman was senior development officer at The Culver Educational Foundation supporting the Culver Academies in Culver. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Purdue University and experience in private sector sales and sales management in the Indianapolis area. Sturman begins his duties on December 1. He replaces Ilene Sheffer who is retiring after 13 years of service.
