IU Health, Indiana Joint Replacement Institute announce partnership

The health system said by working with the Indiana Joint Replacement Institute, an expanded team of joint replacement surgeons will allow for more capacity and expertise at IU Health.
“Through this partnership, we aim to elevate the standard of joint replacement services and increase access for all patients in the region, ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care and experience unparalleled outcomes,” Brian Bauer, president of the IU Health Northeast Region, said in a news release.
The hospital system said the partnership will result in better care coordination, clinical quality and patient experience. The IJRI team will focus on hip and knee replacements.
IU Health has seven locations in northeast Indiana, while IJRI’s clinic location with IU Health is at 7230 Engle Road in Fort Wayne. Surgeries will be scheduled at IU Health’s ambulatory surgery center at 4105 Dicke Road in Fort Wayne.
