IU East Appoints Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs

Subscribe NowCarrie Reisner has been named assistant vice chancellor for student engagement in the Office of Academic Affairs at Indiana University East. She started at IU East in June 2009 as executive director of University College, which had been newly-established on campus to provide first-year students with the academic and personal support they need to be successful. Since June 2017, Reisner has served as interim dean of students. She also served as interim dean of students from July 2015 to June 2016 and July 2012 to June 2013. Reisner was also ACT test site supervisor from June 2010 to June 2012.
She is a member of the American College Personnel Association, Association of Deans and Directors of University Colleges and Undergraduate Studies, Indiana Academic Advising Network, Indiana Student Affairs Association, National Academic Advising Association and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. Reisner has a M.S. in College Student Personnel Administration from Canisius College and her Bachelor of Science Speech-Language Pathology from Buffalo State College, both located in Buffalo, New York.
She received a Certificate in College and University Teaching and a Certificate in Community College Leadership from Ball State University. Reisner is working on her Doctorate of Education in Adult, Higher, & Community Education from Ball State University, with an anticipated completion of the program in December.
